QA Automation Engineer (Playwright / Cypress)
About the Role & Mission
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, write, and execute automated test suites using Playwright, TypeScript, and Jest
- Perform automated REST API testing and load testing with k6 or Postman Newman
- Embed automated test runs in GitHub Actions to prevent regressions before code hits staging/production
- Collaborate with software engineers to reproduce bugs, identify edge cases, and ensure high test coverage
- Conduct exploratory manual testing for complex business workflows and cross-browser validation
Qualifications & Requirements
- 2+ years of QA automation experience with Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium
- Solid programming proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript
- Experience testing REST APIs and database state validation
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines
- Sharp attention to detail and enthusiasm for defect-free software
