Backend Development Role Job Opportunity
About the Role & Mission
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable backend services using Node.js & Express.js
- Build and optimize RESTful APIs and integrate third-party payment and SaaS services
- Work with SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) ensuring optimized query performance
- Implement authentication, authorization (JWT, OAuth 2.0), and enterprise security best practices
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following modular microservice standards
- Collaborate closely with frontend engineers to integrate user-facing elements into backend logic
- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance under high concurrency
- Participate in code reviews, automated CI/CD pipelines, and mentor junior developers
- Work with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) to orchestrate containerized services using Docker
Qualifications & Requirements
- 1–2 years of hands-on backend software development experience with Node.js and Express.js
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and modern TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
- Familiarity with RESTful API design, webhook architecture, and microservices concepts
- Working knowledge of Git version control, Docker containers, and cloud environments (AWS/GCP)
- Understanding of token-based authentication (JWT, OAuth) and OWASP security guidelines
- Strong analytical debugging and problem-solving skills with proactive communication
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent practical experience
